Birthday card

I don't do much birthday cards, so this is one of the exceptions, but I really enjoyed this work for a very nice little lady and I'm really glad that she like it :0). I used for the first time Tim Holtz Distress oxide inks on my serious project - in this case it was Peacock feathers and a little bit of Spiced marmalade, and I admit, that I love, how this inks work on white and - surprise, surprise - also on coloured cardstock, especially when the water droplets technique is used :0). I coloured my images - also for the first time - with Zig Clean Color real brush markers from Kuretake and I'm happy with the intensity of the colours and effect I was able to achieved with them. I can only recommend them, as well as Distress oxides :0). All the used stamps are from Katzelkraft and Hero arts.

So here is the card, really colourful, but lovely, I think :0))

Creative week 14 - "Moon fish"

Hi and thank you for your visit :0). Today I have another small art journal page from my Seawhite hardbound 7.5"x7.5" (ca. 20x20 cm) journal.

I used just two Distress ink pad colours (Picked raspberry and Mermaid lagoon) and some TH layering stencils for the background - these two colours blend into a nice violet colour. Fish and coral stamps are from Design by Ryn, pearls from Sheena Douglass. I'm very happy with the moon and it's texture created with a small sponge dauber and white gesso.

And that's it for today, a lot of fun, although it was a bit challenge to stick only with 2 colours and black and white...

Have a nice day and see you next time :0)

2017 Christmas gifts - part 2

This year I created one more DIY gift, this time for my husband and again I used the materials I've never used before - wood and wire :0) I hope, that this little Robot will make him a company in his work and bring him a smile whenever he will look at him (although he is just 14 cm / 5,5 inch tall) :0)

2017 Christmas gifts - part 1

Same as last year I wanted to make some DIY friendly gifts for this Christmas :0) For the first time I tried to create something from felt and I must say, these gifts were a big success :0D

So let me introduce them....Christmas Gnomes (I love the sound of their jingle bells) :0)

2017 Christmas cards

I would say, that the theme for the Christmas cards 2017 was "calm and peace" :0). I decided to create inner part of each card as a small gift for the recipients - a snowglobe Christmas tree decoration and I hope, that they brought a piece of joy into those festive days :0).

Cards are a mix of coloured and embossed patterns and I really like how they look. I created five different patterns for the fronts of the cards, the snowglobe motif is then identical for all of them. Stamped patterns are coloured with Tombow and Marvy Brush markers, for the decoration on the envelope I used Hero Arts Unicorn white pigment ink :0)

So here they are...enjoy them with me and have a great, joyful and peaceful year 2018 :0)
