Art journal page - Ellegance diary journal

Hi and welcome :0) Today´s page is ca 6.5" x 8.5" (cca 16 x 21,5 cm).

I started with a coloured paper tag. I did some stenciling on it with an Iced spruce and Vintage photo Distress inks and than I added a bit of stamping on it. The same stamp I used on my "old book" background papers together with a layer and splatters of a diluted gesso. Finally I created a small collage with these photos of elegant ladies from 20´s and bits and pieces I found in my stash :0)

Thank you for your visit and have a very nice weekend :0)

Round art journal page - Dream Boho Soul

Hi and welcome again. This page is also from 7" (ca. 18 cm) Arteza round art journal.

I still played with layered background. I stamped a big background stamp on the page, covered the page with Distress brown and orange inks, layered a stencil pattern over it with Versafine Clair permanent ink and applied a white gesso with a sponge through the checkerboard and star stencils. I coloured the gessoed patterns with Distress inks to muted the white colour down and added the final collage and a quote. And I like this page a lot :0)

Thank you for your visit and have a very nice weekend :0)

Round art journal page - Lost and found on the chessboard

Hi and welcome. This page is in my 7" (ca. 17,8 cm) Arteza round art journal.

I played with layered background. I used Distress inks - Vintage photo, Rusty hinge and some others. I stamped an Aall and Create chess border stamp on the bottom of the page and chess figures all around the page (although they ended up covered with other layers). I used white gesso an applied it with a brayer and with a sponge through the Tim Holtz´s stencil. I covered the gessoed parts with Ranger´s Perfect pearls. Finally I added my focal point girl with a chess pawn and the quote :0)

Thank you for your visit and have a very nice week :0)

Art journal page - Another fall

Hallo and welcome back :0) Today´s page is ca  6" x 8.5" (cca 15,5 x 21 cm) and it is an entry for Simon Says Stamps´s Monday challenge "Fall Mood Board".

Again a simple collage with images and quote from Maremi´s small art Autumn stories and Fungos collage books. As a background I used a wonderful 3D Oak Forest embossing folder from Spellbinders together with orange textured paper which I colored with darker orange Distress inks and Champagne metallic ink applied with a brayer. I finished with a few accents with black and white marker.

Thank you for your visit, feel free to leave me a comment and have a very nice day :0)

Art journal page - Believe in magic

Hallo and welcome :0) Today´s page is ca  6" x 8" (cca 15 x 20.5 cm) and it is an entry for Simon Says Stamps´s Wednesday challenge "Add some texture".

This is a simple collage - my focal images are again from Maremi´s small art Autumn stories and Christmas feries collage books. I used also textured paper from my stash stamped with champagne metallic ink and some elements from 49 and Market´s ephemeras and tapes, all framed with textured cardstock colored with some green and brown distress inks.

Thank you for your visit, feel free to leave me a comment and have a very nice day :0)

Art journal page - Light up your inner light

Hi and welcome :0) This is another page in 6" x 8" (cca 15 x 20 cm) Hahnemühle journal book. It is my entry for Stencil Fun´s  July challenge

I mixed two Lindy´s Stamp Gang Magicals powders with water - Edelweiss moss green and Sparkling sunset - and applied them with a brush. The page is very shiny with them. I added some stamp pattern with VersaFine Clair green ink and fern and cog wheel stamps, but at the end this layer is almost invisible. I splattered over Lindy´s California poppy gold and Bayou boogie gold sprays and on the top used Super hero rays stencil from Paper Rose with golden pigment ink. The images are again from Etsy - some numbers and lovely Art Nouveau lamp and as my focal point a charming lady from MilesBeyondTheMoon shop (which has the most beautiful "paper doll" images I´ve ever seen) .

I´m very happy with this page - although it looks like a very simple one :0)

Thank you for your visit, feel free to leave me a comment and have a very nice day :0)

Art journal page - Life is beautiful with smile

Hi and welcome again :0) This page is ca 6" x 8" (cca 15 x 20 cm) and my background is one of the new Aall&Create Design paper. It is also a second entry for Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge Anything goes.

I muted a white color of the background paper with Tim Holtz´s Antique linen ink and embossed it with a flourish embossing folder. I collaged film strips and Laser cut elements from 49 and market and as my focal point I used again images from the Vintage photo collage collection part 5 (sepia version) from ArtHouseWhimsy on Etsy :0)

Thank you for your visit, feel free to leave me a comment and have a sunny summer day :0)

Art journal page - One fine day

Hi and welcome :0) Today I have a new page in my 6" x 8" (cca 15 x 20 cm) Hahnemühle journal book. and it is an entry for Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge Anything goes.

I started with some stamps from my stash and white embossing powder. Than, with a brush, I applied Lindy´s Stamp Gang Ponderosa Pines Olive and Bayou Boogie Gold Starburst sprays. To darken up the white embossing I lightly went over with Ranger´s archival ink Orange blossom. I die cut a film strip from copper mirror cardstock to frame my photo focal image. It is from a very nice Vintage photo collage collection part 5 (sepia version) from ArtHouseWhimsy on Etsy - a lot of smiling faces :0). A added sea topic die-cuts from LaBlanche and Mintay papers, recolored some images a bit with markers and finish with a quote rub-on. And here it is :0)

Thank you for your visit, feel free to leave me a comment and have a very nice day :0)

Art journal page - All aboard?

Hi and welcome :0) Today I have a big art journal collage page (28x28 cm / 11"x11") and it is my entry for Simon Says Stamps Wednesday challenge Use Patterned Paper.

I started with sea themed patterned paper for my background, I distressed the edges a bit and coloured them with Vintage photo Distress ink. I added smaller pieces of another patterned paper as a background for my crew member pictures and also distressed them. Then I created the central pergamen map when I played with brown colored patterned paper and the same brown ink. I fussy cut the rope frame and shaded it with a gray pen and a black liner pen. All other elements are from the Kate Curry´s  Cut and Collage Ocean life ephemera book vol. 4 and Navigation ephemera book. They are on the black cardstock to make them more sturdy and framed with black pen. I created my scene and finished it with some white splatters muted with the brown ink and a quote. To intensify the colours and to protect the papers I covered everything with Lascaux Satin matt acrylic medium. It is very liquid, but it does not smear the images at all and the brown ink just slightly.

Thank you for your visit and see you next time :0)

Art journal page - Love, Harmony, Happiness and Home

Hi and welcome :0) Today I can finally show you a bigger project. This page is ca 12.5"x10" (31x25 cm). It is an entry for Simon Says Stamps´s Monday challenge "Make your own background".

I found these beautiful kimono pictures on Etsy and instead of making four pages I combined them in one. I love the outcome and I must addmit that it was refreshing to create something bigger :0)

I started with a simply colored paper from my stash - green, yellow, blue and red. I embossed the paper with Tim Holtz´s 3D embossing folder. Than I found some Archival ink pads in darker tones than a paper and rubbed them on to enhance the embossed pattern of the quilted leather. It changed the look of the paper a lot, but beautifully :0) Then I cut the papers with AALL Create new cutting dies for background shape and another one from black cardstock to make a frame. I painted the black shapes with black acrylic paint and rough sponge douber to create a texture on it. I glued both layers together, added the kimonos and stamped and embossed chinese characters for each word with Ranger´s Gold queen embossing powder framed with a black liner pen. I added the same words in english and cut out and glued together 3 layers of the black cardstock for the central symbol of Longevity. Top layer I embossed with the same gold embossing powder. To let the colours shine even more and protect the printed pictures I used Distress micro Glaze on top of them.

I mounted all five elements on brown wood patterned paper which I darkened with Gathered twix ink from Tim Holtz. Finally I added black frame painted again with black acrylic paint and sponge douber - the page frame are actually 6 left over pieces from an old wall callender and I´m happy that I used them this way. This page was really a pleasure to create and I enjoyed every minute of the process :0)

So thank you for your visit, have a nice weekend and see you next time :0)

Dylusions art journal - Cabinet of curiosities

Hi and welcome :0) Today´s page is in the 8"x8" (ca 21x21 cm) Dylusions journal.

I recently bought a Color Cube catalog and cards from Sarah Renae Clark and I picked one card with color combination I like to try if I can use it for my project.

And I played a bit with a watercolor style background and coloring. I stamped glass domes around the central circle and coloured them with violet, pink and orange Ditress Spray stains and Dylusions Ink sprays which I applied with a brush. For the background I´ve chosen teal colours (altough in the picture it looks more blue). I stamped a lot with gold ink - star constellations and moon phases -  and used gold acrylic pen from Uni Posca and black liner to enhance all the images and add some details. The central amonite shell is from Impression Obsession stamps. Finally I finished the page with some butterfly stickers and wrote a quote. I must admit that this color combination is not what I would normally chose, but I quite like the outcome :0)

Thank you for your visit and see you next time :0)

Art journal page - The music wall

Hi and welcome :0) Today's journal is cca 24,5 x 15 cm (9.5" x 6") and it is my entry for Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge "Emboss it" and Wednesday challenge "Easter/Spring".

I cut Tim Holtz's birds out from the black cardstock and embossed the rest of the cardstock with stone wall embossing folder. Then I cut out birds again from white patterned paper, colored them with green and brown Distress inks and inlay them into the openings. I added my quote from the same patterned paper.

I added background layer - white cardstock embossed with Lisa Horton's palm leaves embossing folder and colored with green Distress inks. I drew a peace of earth with the note comming up of it and colored it with black glaze pen and brown Distress watercolor pencils. The glaze pen I used also for eyes and hearts of the birds.

Thank you for your visit, have a very nice Easter and see you soon :0)

Art journal page - Free spirit forever

Hi and welcome back :0) Today´s page has ca 21 x 21 cm / 8.5" x 8.5". I used leftover blue and green tiles shaded with green and blue Ranger´s archival inks from last project to create an another background combined with doodles which I drew with Sakura black gel pen. I mounted this background to another black cardstock with the similar doodles to achieve a bigger frame and space for my focal image.

I painted gears and clock (die-cuts) with Spectrum noir´s Sparkle black glitter brush pen, layered them for more dimension and sealed them with gloss acrylic medium. Then I added a small collage of Etsy images to create my focal point. As always I sealed all images with Distress micro glaze to create an extra protection for them. Finally I mounted a quote with smaller brads painted with black alcohol marker.

Thank you for your visit, have a nice evening and see you soon :0)

Art journal page - Life is a chess game

Hi and welcome back :0) This page has cca 20 cm x 20 cm (ca 8" x 8") and it is my entry for Simon Says Stamp Monday and Wednesday challenges "A Bit O´Green".

I started with blue and green colored papers and created a ca 1" tiles. I used Ranger´s Leaf green and Cobalt Archival inks to create shading and stamped another set of tiles with these inks. I layered blank and stamped tiles to create final mosaic background. With Sacura black Glaze pen I drew checkerboard on a black cardstock and also colored stamped chess figures. When I finished the background I added my focal image from Etsy and a quote.

I really like the glaze pen. On the black cardstock it creates very nice two toned effect with a gentle shine :0)

Thank you for your visit, have a nice Sunday and see you soon :0)

Art journal page - Moment of beauty

Welcome and thank you for visiting my blog :0) This is another smaller page (20.5 cm x 14 cm / 5.5" x 8") for this year, an entry for Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge "Fun With Stencils", for Allsorts challenge "Week 766" and also for  Stencil Fun "February challenge"

I started the page with a few spritz of coffe and added some brown Distress inks over it to make it darker. I embossed the background with starry 3D embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp and enhanced the stars with Finnabair´s gold wax. Circle of watercolor paper was again sprayed with coffee and colored with brown Distress inks and turquoise acrylic paint. I used Tim Holtz´s Harlequin stencil for it. I added some brown stamping with text stamps from AALL & Create, gold ink through the Tim Holtz´s floral stencil and lines with Posca gold acrylic pen. I stamped the moon with gold ink, colored it a bit with very diluted Scattered straw Distress ink and added a butterfly, a quote and a gold metallic string on the edges. My focal point is from Etsy.

Have a nice day and see you :0)

Art journal page - Happily foolish

Welcome and all the best in 2024 :0) This is my first journal page of this year (23 cm x 15.5 cm / 6" x 9") and it is my entry for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge "Add Some Texture".

Usually I don´t make New Year's resolutions, but if I would, for this year it would definitely be "buy less and create more" ,0). It would be great to use finally all the beautiful crafty things I already have. Or realize the ideas which are waiting in my head for such a long time.

So today is the day.... I love smell of the coffee, although I dont drink it and I wanted to create some page stained with it. I made a few of them very long time ago and these pages still smell wonderfully... Today´s page is a combination of coffe and Distress inks and smell in my craft room is just awesome and intense (maybe because I dried papers with my heat tool) ,D

I used brown tinted papers in two shades for the background and all the 3 tags. I stained them more with a strong coffee, added some embossing (with a damask folder on the background and with a gold powder on the tags). I stencilled the tags with Distress inks and stamped some tiny text with Distress Archival inks in Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso. I colored white ribbon with Distress Spray stains and cut the letters with Tim Holtz alphanumeric Tiny Type die set. My focal points are digital images from Etsy finished a bit with gold acrylic pen.

And this is it for today. Thank you for your visit, stay happy and healthy and see you soon :0)

Art journal page - Bloom and Shine

Hi and  welcome again :0) Today's page is still in my 6" x 8" (cca 15 x 20 cm) Hahnemühle journal book. and it is a second entry for Simon Says Stamp's Monday challenge What is your favorite color?.

Another of my favorite colours is blue and I really like this Lindy's Stamp Gang magical's Dragonfly Denim. I like Lindy's colours, but you need more layers to obtain really dark colour, because they dry much lighter than they look after the application. Especially when you use more water for your technique.

This time I started with the combination of the Dragonfly Denim spray and Have a Scone Heather Lindy's magical shaker applied with a brush. Than I used two stencils from my stash and Distress Micro glaze to create a resist and applied these two colors over it again few times. The outcome was nice, but too subtle. So I decided to add swirl die-cuts from Tim Holtz coloured with these two colors, but this time with more Heather's violet pink. My focal point is again from Etsy and I'm happy how the finished background contrasts with yellow flowers :0)

Thank you for your visit, feel free to leave me a comment and have a very nice end of the week :0)

Art journal page - Searching for the good life

Hi and  welcome back :0) Today's page is again in 6" x 8" (cca 15 x 20 cm) Hahnemühle journal book and it is an entry for Simon Says Stamp's Monday challenge What is your favorite color?, for Allsorts challenge Week 746 and also my second entry for Stencil Fun September challenge

I admit that I have more than one favorite color, but one of them is definitely an orange.

I started with Lindy's orange magical powder Teenie weenie bikini applied with a brush and few layers of water droplets.Than I used Barbary stars stencil from AALL and Create together with Distress inks Spiced marmalade, Carved pumpkin and Rusted hinge and Memento dual marker (and more water). For the lower part of the page I used chess board stencil from Clarity stamps. This time I added also Vintage photo and Ground espresso Distress inks. And water droplets of course :D

I finished the page with one of the beautiful images from Etsy, Tim Holtz's and 49 and Market's rub-ons and a printed quote. And I need to say, how much I love the contrast between green and orange colors, they nicely fit together :0)

Thank you that you've stopped by, feel free to leave me a comment and have a very nice Monday :0)

P.S. I'm very happy that this page was in Simon Says Stamp "What is your favorite color?" Designer spotlight :0)

Art journal page - Beautiful

Hi :0) I have another 6"x8" (cca 15x20 cm) art journal page in Hahnemühle journal book. This one is my entry for Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge Make it Cute.

I'm still in Lindy's magical shakers so today's background is a mix of Lizzy's Cuppa Tea Teal and Spill the Tea Teal with a few layers of water droplets to create a texture. I stamped all page with this nice leaves stamp from Chocolate Baroque, coloured all images with Winsor and Newton Gold drawing ink and I re-draw everything with 003 Pigma Micron liner. I love this background and it was very hard for me to "covered" it with other images :D

I cut the window from semi-black mirrored cardstock with the die from Tim Holtz, scratched it with a sand paper and re-painted with black archival ink and black acrylic pen. Night sky is a mix of the same shakers I used for the background, this time with much more of Spill the Tea Teal. This "blue" shaker colour is a real beauty :0)

I die-cut the moon with a moon die from Whimsy Stamps and coloured with the WN Gold ink. The same one I used also for the stars. Whimsy Stamps's robots are stamped on silver cardstock from TH, scratched a bit and over-painted with a clear gesso to dull the shine and add the texture for colouring. I coloured them with black archival ink, Gold ink and magical shakers. Than I re-defined the lines with black acrylic paint pen and fixed the images with acrylic liquid medium. At the end I added a stripe from mirrored cardstock and a quote label from Simple Stories.

Thank you for your visit, feel free to leave me a comment and have a very nice Friday :0)

Art journal page - Where do you go, my lovely?

Hi and welcome back :0) Today I have another page in 6"x8" (cca 15x20 cm) art journal from Hahnemühle. This one is my entry for Simon Says Stamp's Monday challenge Take Flight.

Background is a combination of Lindy's magical shakers Pinkies Up Pink, Pass the Jam Jane, Have a Scone Heather and Spill the Tea Teal. When I was satisfied with the final mix I added a few layers of water droplets to create a texture (and I must say that this paper is great to hold such amount of water) and some pearl white and white splatters as stars.

For a planet I used Crumpet Crumbs, Pinkies Up Pink and Pemberley Pride Purple shakers - a lot of layers combined with a lot of water mists and droplets :0). Finally I added 49 and Market and Tim Holtz rub-ons and a quote inspired by a song from No Mercy (oh the memories :0).

For the focal point I use an image from Etsy again :0)

Thank you for your visit, feel free to leave me a comment and have a very nice "again so sunny" day :0)
