Double art journal page - Under the golden sun

Hi and welcome :0) Today I have two smaller pages 7" x 5" (cca 17,5 x 13 cm). They are my entry for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge Anything goes.

Because I love how my last denim tags turned out, I decided to use another fabric as the base. I glued a Tim Holtz´s linen textile surfaces on the cardstock and and frayed the edges. I stenciled on it with a very old brown Memento marker, so the color is quite muted. Than I drew a circle and applied the gilding glue  from Stamperia and golden flakes on it. For my focal collage I used elements from Kate Curry´s collage books and from sticker book I found in my stash (I glued the stickers and other images on the cardstock before I fussy cut them, so they are much sturdier). I´m so happy with the outcome - I love the look of the final pieces and feel of the real linen fabric :0)

Thank you for your visit and have a very nice day :0)

Tags - Love and Lucky

Hi and welcome :0) Today I have two  tags 6.5" x 4" (cca 17 x 10 cm). This tags are my entry for Stencil Fun April challenge.

I glued a Tim Holtz´s denim textil surfaces on the cardstock and stenciled on it with Chipped Saphire and Black Soot Distress inks. Than I stamped parts of a big background stamp on it with VersaFine Claire black permanent ink. I cuted out two tags wit a nice dotted border from this it and used elements from Kate Curry´s collage books as my focal points. I love the feel of the real denim fabric and how nicely these both tags came out :0)

Thank you for your visit and have a very nice day :0)

Art journal page - It's raining men

Hi and welcome back :0) Today I have a big 11"x 12"  (ca. 28 x 30 cm) art journal page for SimonSaysStamps Wednesday challenge "Anything goes".

I planned this page for a previous challenge, but I did not find enough time for it and I'm very happy that I have another chance to use this idea I like so much :0)

For a long time I wanted to use this Umbrella man die from Tim Holtz and finally this dream came through. I was inspired by the words of one famous song and here it is :0)

For the background I use a piece of my old jeans and applied black-blue irridescent acrylic paint through an Altenew Thunderstorm stencil on it. For the focal points I utilized some of my very old DCWV patterned papers and hand-drawn the umbrella. I found a very nice alphabet die in my stash and also covered all hearts with a Tonic Studios Nuvo Crystal glaze, so they are shiny and more dimensional.
I need to say that when I finally started with this project it was so easy going one. At the end I spent most of the time by rearranging a pleasant rainbow order of my men :D (second picture shows the page shining in the sunlight).

Thank you for your visit and please leave me a comment if you like :0)

Have a very nice - sunny, if possible - spring day and see you soon :0)
