Art journal page - Bloom and Shine

Hi and  welcome again :0) Today's page is still in my 6" x 8" (cca 15 x 20 cm) Hahnemühle journal book. and it is a second entry for Simon Says Stamp's Monday challenge What is your favorite color?.

Another of my favorite colours is blue and I really like this Lindy's Stamp Gang magical's Dragonfly Denim. I like Lindy's colours, but you need more layers to obtain really dark colour, because they dry much lighter than they look after the application. Especially when you use more water for your technique.

This time I started with the combination of the Dragonfly Denim spray and Have a Scone Heather Lindy's magical shaker applied with a brush. Than I used two stencils from my stash and Distress Micro glaze to create a resist and applied these two colors over it again few times. The outcome was nice, but too subtle. So I decided to add swirl die-cuts from Tim Holtz coloured with these two colors, but this time with more Heather's violet pink. My focal point is again from Etsy and I'm happy how the finished background contrasts with yellow flowers :0)

Thank you for your visit, feel free to leave me a comment and have a very nice end of the week :0)

Art journal page - Searching for the good life

Hi and  welcome back :0) Today's page is again in 6" x 8" (cca 15 x 20 cm) Hahnemühle journal book and it is an entry for Simon Says Stamp's Monday challenge What is your favorite color?, for Allsorts challenge Week 746 and also my second entry for Stencil Fun September challenge

I admit that I have more than one favorite color, but one of them is definitely an orange.

I started with Lindy's orange magical powder Teenie weenie bikini applied with a brush and few layers of water droplets.Than I used Barbary stars stencil from AALL and Create together with Distress inks Spiced marmalade, Carved pumpkin and Rusted hinge and Memento dual marker (and more water). For the lower part of the page I used chess board stencil from Clarity stamps. This time I added also Vintage photo and Ground espresso Distress inks. And water droplets of course :D

I finished the page with one of the beautiful images from Etsy, Tim Holtz's and 49 and Market's rub-ons and a printed quote. And I need to say, how much I love the contrast between green and orange colors, they nicely fit together :0)

Thank you that you've stopped by, feel free to leave me a comment and have a very nice Monday :0)

P.S. I'm very happy that this page was in Simon Says Stamp "What is your favorite color?" Designer spotlight :0)

Art journal page - Beautiful

Hi :0) I have another 6"x8" (cca 15x20 cm) art journal page in Hahnemühle journal book. This one is my entry for Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge Make it Cute.

I'm still in Lindy's magical shakers so today's background is a mix of Lizzy's Cuppa Tea Teal and Spill the Tea Teal with a few layers of water droplets to create a texture. I stamped all page with this nice leaves stamp from Chocolate Baroque, coloured all images with Winsor and Newton Gold drawing ink and I re-draw everything with 003 Pigma Micron liner. I love this background and it was very hard for me to "covered" it with other images :D

I cut the window from semi-black mirrored cardstock with the die from Tim Holtz, scratched it with a sand paper and re-painted with black archival ink and black acrylic pen. Night sky is a mix of the same shakers I used for the background, this time with much more of Spill the Tea Teal. This "blue" shaker colour is a real beauty :0)

I die-cut the moon with a moon die from Whimsy Stamps and coloured with the WN Gold ink. The same one I used also for the stars. Whimsy Stamps's robots are stamped on silver cardstock from TH, scratched a bit and over-painted with a clear gesso to dull the shine and add the texture for colouring. I coloured them with black archival ink, Gold ink and magical shakers. Than I re-defined the lines with black acrylic paint pen and fixed the images with acrylic liquid medium. At the end I added a stripe from mirrored cardstock and a quote label from Simple Stories.

Thank you for your visit, feel free to leave me a comment and have a very nice Friday :0)

Art journal page - Where do you go, my lovely?

Hi and welcome back :0) Today I have another page in 6"x8" (cca 15x20 cm) art journal from Hahnemühle. This one is my entry for Simon Says Stamp's Monday challenge Take Flight.

Background is a combination of Lindy's magical shakers Pinkies Up Pink, Pass the Jam Jane, Have a Scone Heather and Spill the Tea Teal. When I was satisfied with the final mix I added a few layers of water droplets to create a texture (and I must say that this paper is great to hold such amount of water) and some pearl white and white splatters as stars.

For a planet I used Crumpet Crumbs, Pinkies Up Pink and Pemberley Pride Purple shakers - a lot of layers combined with a lot of water mists and droplets :0). Finally I added 49 and Market and Tim Holtz rub-ons and a quote inspired by a song from No Mercy (oh the memories :0).

For the focal point I use an image from Etsy again :0)

Thank you for your visit, feel free to leave me a comment and have a very nice "again so sunny" day :0)
