Art journal page - Own your story

Hi and welcome :0) Here is a new page in my smaller 6"x8" (cca 15x20 cm) art journal from Hahnemühle.

I've chosen Dylusions sprays this time - Lemon zest, Funky fuchsia and London blue. I mixed them with my brush directly on the wet paper and added some water splashes. I applied Stamperia Black silver Glamour paste through an older Finnabair stencil , let it dry, made a few circles with a white gel pen and added my focal image - beautiful Audrey Hepburn. For the leafy "frame" I used Alexandra Renke dies. And final touches - white rub-ons from Tim Holtz - stars and quote.

Thank you for your visit, have a beautiful Sunday and see you next time :0)

Tag - Classified

Hi and welcome :0) Today I have just small 8" x 4" tag (cca 20x10 cm).

I played with Tim Holtz Uncharted mariner Distress ink combined with Salvaged patina Distress ink. Patina is not much visible, but it definitely changes the final blue color of the background. This combination is really very nice. I used one of Tim Holtz paper doll and some ephemeras and stickers from my stash. I found also some interesting stamps from Alexandra Renke for my background and quote. I did not have any plan, just followed the flow and like the final outcome, especially the blue-red contrast :0)

Thank you for your visit and see you next time :0)

Art journal page - Good times

Hi and welcome back :0). This is a page for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge "Make your own background".

After a small holiday break I was looking forward to try a new Distress colour from Tim Holtz - Uncharted mariner. This blue is a much more green-blue colour than on my photo and really very nice one. I'm happy to have it in my collection.

I started with a simple layering background and added some rub-ons, collage elements and also my focal point and quote. I wanted to stay mostly monochromatic so the "mariner" is still the main colour of my page. As a final "gentle" touch I found some butterflies and butterfly wings :0).

Thank you for your visit and have a very nice summer day :0)

Art journal page - Your colours always cheer me up

Hi and welcome :0) I finished another page in my smaller 6"x8" (cca 15x20 cm) art journal from Hahnemühle.

I played with 3 random colours of my distress spray stains - Kitsch flamingo, Squeezed lemonade and Cracked pistachio. I applied light layer with my brush, added stamping and embossing with pearl white embossing powder and put an another layer of the same colours through Tim Holtz Splatter stencil. I love the final background :0)

I found some funny character stamps from my stash and coloured them with Ohuhu Water-based markers and Distress ink re-inkers - the 3 same colours I used already (re-inkers are more concentraded than Spray stains). I only added Crackling campfire as my red.   I used new Dylusions washi tape from Dyan Reaveley, I incorporated my quote in to the design and framed the whole page with black and white marker.

This page was created as en entry for Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge Bright & Cheerful and I think that it is really very bright (and hopefuly cheeful too) :0)

Thank you for your visit and have a very nice day :0)

Art journal page - Vacation is coming

Hi and welcome back :0) I continue in my smaller 6"x8" (cca 15x20 cm) art journal from Hahnemühle.

I wanted to try another colour combination with Distress Spray stains and Distress Oxide ink pads - this time Wilted violet and Peacock feathers. I also added some stamping with white pigment ink and black archival ink. Meerkats are from Katzelkraft, post stamps from Spellbinders and big background stamp with tags from Hero arts.

This page was created as en entry for Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge Anything goes.

Thank you for your visit, have a very nice Sunday and don't forget that vacation is coming :0)

Art journal page - Possibility

Hi and welcome :0) Today I have a smaller 6"x8" (cca 15x20 cm) art journal page from my new Hahnemühle Watercolour book. The paper is awesome, quite thick and colours stay nicely vibrant :0)

This page is an entry for Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge Not a card and I was highly inspired by the Sandra's tag. A combination of Crackling campfire and Salvaged patina Distress Spray stains and Distress Oxide ink pads is so wonderful that I wanted to create my own variation and I'm very satisfied with the outcome :0) And the benefit is that I used one of my a little bit unheeded paper dolls from Tim Holtz, beautiful background stamps from Catherine Pooler and Stampendous and text stamps from Woodware :0)

Thank you for your visit, have a very nice weekend and please let me know if you like this page too :0)

Art journal page - Lifetime adventure

Hi and welcome :0) Today I have a ca 8"x8" (cca 20x20 cm) art journal page dedicated to one of my favorite book series. I have read it many times (recently again) and certainly not for the last time. These books accompanied me for a large part of my life :0)

I used Lindy's Stamp Gang red spray and Heidi Swapp gold one with a die-cutted letters (I was inspired by this font) to create my background. I also applied gold wax from Finnabair to the edges. I used Tim Holtz gold cardstock with some older dies for the hourglass and a book and newer candels dies from Tim Holtz and glasses die from Altenew.

This page is also lmy entry for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge Layer it up

Thank you for your visit, have a nice creative day and see you next time :0)

Art journal page - It's raining men

Hi and welcome back :0) Today I have a big 11"x 12"  (ca. 28 x 30 cm) art journal page for SimonSaysStamps Wednesday challenge "Anything goes".

I planned this page for a previous challenge, but I did not find enough time for it and I'm very happy that I have another chance to use this idea I like so much :0)

For a long time I wanted to use this Umbrella man die from Tim Holtz and finally this dream came through. I was inspired by the words of one famous song and here it is :0)

For the background I use a piece of my old jeans and applied black-blue irridescent acrylic paint through an Altenew Thunderstorm stencil on it. For the focal points I utilized some of my very old DCWV patterned papers and hand-drawn the umbrella. I found a very nice alphabet die in my stash and also covered all hearts with a Tonic Studios Nuvo Crystal glaze, so they are shiny and more dimensional.
I need to say that when I finally started with this project it was so easy going one. At the end I spent most of the time by rearranging a pleasant rainbow order of my men :D (second picture shows the page shining in the sunlight).

Thank you for your visit and please leave me a comment if you like :0)

Have a very nice - sunny, if possible - spring day and see you soon :0)

Art journal page - Discover LIGHT

Hi and welcome back again :0) Today's page has 10x6.5 inches (cca 25,5x17 cm).

Whole idea for my today's work were the night butterflies discovering the colours of the rainbow :0) And yes, I know that the moths are not so bright ,0)

I created grean background with my Distress inks and than stamped a Stampendous  woodgrain stamp - I used VersaFine Clair Shady Lane ink pad - over it. I cut the stripes and framed them with my green alcohol marker and Shady Lane ink applied with a blending tool. I black embossed Kaisercraft's awesome lanterns and coloured them with Ecoline Brush Pens (they are basically liquid watercolour pens) so I can created a light effect in the lanterns. I put the transparen butterflies stikers on the white paper, fussy-cut them, shaped them a little bit and glued them on the possitions. Finally I cut out the letters L I G H T - twice from the black cardstock, once from the white - I colored the white ones with the same colours as my lanterns.

I like this page a lot and if you do too, please let me know :0)

Thank you for your visit and see you next time :0)

Art journal page - Best tea

Hi and welcome :0) Today's page has 8x8 inches (cca 20x20 cm).

I used one of the green-blue color backgrounds I made recently with Distress Spray Stains. I added some stenciling with water (lifting technique) and an another layer with Distress inks. My focal points are stamps from Visible image colored with the alcohol markers and some washi tapes from my stash. For the dots on the hat I used copic opaque white paint, so they stay white (marks with a gel pen always take on the colours of the background).

Thank you for your visit and see you next time :0)

Art journal page - Charming, timeless and free

Hi and welcome :0). This is an another 6.5"x 6.5"  (ca. 16,5 x 16,5 cm) art journal page.

Last time I created two yellow-orange backgrounds with Distress stain sprays at once, so I wanted to use the second one in some different way than the previous.

I covered parts of the background with a copper metal texture paste through dotted stencil and teared numerous stripes from it. Then I found a nice Tattered Lace text embossing folder as my first layer and I glued four of the stripes on it. I used older koi stamps and a girl stamp from Pink ink designs. I colored everything with my PITT artist brush pens and white Prismacolor premier colored pencil. For the details and hair of the girl I used also Arteza white gel pen and a black acrylic paint pen. Finally I choosed my quotes from Tim Holtz Big chat stickers.

I think I fulfilled my goal - this page is totally different than the last one :D

Thank you again for your visit and have a nice spring day :0)

Art journal page - Life is a mystery

Hi and welcome :0). This is my new 6.5"x 6.5"  (ca. 16,5 x 16,5 cm) art journal page.

I played with some Distress stain sprays, stencil water lifting technique, older text stamp and another stencil,  stamps and washi tape from AALL & Create. For my focal point I found a great zebra stamp from my stash. I used Prismacolor premier colored pencils - white, red and blue - to enhanced my seahorses and also to color my focal image. Finally I die-cuted some tiny letters for the quote.

I am very pleased with a final outcome, I really surprised myself :D

Thank you for your visit and have a nice day :0)

Art journal page - Never too old

Hi and welcome. This is a 7" (ca. 17,8 cm) round art journal - first I ever made :0)

I was inspired by Nuneka and Lindy's magical colours - I used Martian Magenta and Galacti teal from Nuneka's Outer space set. I added some white heat embossed stamping (stamps from Alexandra Renke and AALL & Create, 3D embossing folder from Tim Holtz, die cuts from a gold mirror paper and photo from my stash.

Have a nice day and see you next time :0)

Art journal page - Enjoy the moment

Hi and welcome. This is my second 7" (ca. 17,8 cm) round art journal page :0)

I enjoyed Lindy's magical so much last time, that I used them for this page too. Still inspired by Nuneka I used Martian Magenta  Nuneka's Outer space Magicals and Foxglove fuchsia from Mountain meadows Flat magicals set. I added some texture paste through Spellbinders stencil (I lightened the stars with silver wax paste), die cuts from a gold mirror paper and photo from my stash.

I thought that my last page was bright, but these colours are in the real life really vibrant :D

Thank you for your visit and see you next time :0)

Art journal page - A green home magic

Hi and welcome back. This is a last page in my 6.5"x 6.5"  (ca. 16,5 x 16,5 cm) art journal for 2021.

I used an embossing folder with Dylusions paints, greenery background paper from Mintay Papers with stamps from My Favorite Things. I coloured them with Brushmarkers PRO from Karin.

I can not imagine any home without houseplants so this page is definitely my cup of tea :0)

Art journal page - What seems ordinary...

Hi and welcome back. Today I have a new 8 x 9 inches (cca 20x22 cm) art journal page.

I played with a lovely Autumn splendor die from Honey Bee Stamps, bright colours of Dylusions sprays, gold spray and an older witch die from Tim Holtz. This autumn background die is so beatiful itself ant the colours so bright that it was very difficult to pair it with anyting else. But I did and I think I like the outcome :0) For the witch I used silver glitter paper and covered it with black alcohol ink and later with black PITT artist brush pen, so the black is darker but stil shiny.

This page is also my post for Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge "Not a card".

Thank you for your visit and see you next time :0)

Art journal page - HOME sweet HOME

Hi and welcome back :0) Today it is a nontraditional 6.5"x 8.5"  (ca. 16,5 x 21,5 cm) and art journal page.

I used and transformed my older turquoise left-over background. I added plaid background stamp from Tim Holtz, a lovely girl stamp from Penny Black, some greenery die from Hero Arts and a beatiful house front stamp from Graphic 45. I also used AALL & Create washi tape and I stamped plaid background stamp over the black cardstock with Versamark ink, so the subtle pattern matches my page. I colored my images with Dylusions Vibrant turquoise spray, Karin Brush Marker PRO and OHUHU alcohol brush markers (skin) and I was happy how easy it was :0)

I love this page and maybe you can also feel those quiet vibes as I do :0)

Art journal page - Find and express yourself

Hi and welcome again :0) This is my traditional 6.5"x 6.5"  (ca. 16,5 x 16,5 cm) art journal page of 25. 5. 2021.

I found some older background I made with acryclic paints and stencils. I was curious whether I can transform the paT artist brush pens and Dylusions sprays filled in brushes.

ge into something. Usually I have big troubles with it, because when I create my projects I make my bacground and focal points together so they match my vision :0)

I used Darkroom door long butterfies and fern stamp with Dylusions calypso teal creative dyary ink and and some AALL &  Create text washi tape. I found these adorable pandas in my stash and I think that they are just perfect. A light bulb, an old typewriter and a magnifying glass complete the idea of this page. I coloured my images with PITT artist brush pens and Dylusions sprays in water brushes.

Thank you for your visit and see you next time :0)

Art journal page - I saw my soul in the mirror

Hi and welcome :0) This is my 6.5"x 6.5"  (ca. 16,5 x 16,5 cm) art journal page for SimonSaysStamps Monday challenge "Four Legged Friends".

I was inspired by the words of one song I heard recently and this is an idea that came to my mind - do you  also feel this way sometimes? :0)
I used Peacock feathers and Salvaged patina Distress inks and Salvaged patina Distress oxide for my bacground together with Honey Bee leaves stencil. My brown colours are a combination of Wild honey, Tea dye and Black soot Distress inks and Mustard seed and Fossillized amber for my yellows. I found these funny stamps from Katzelkraft and very nice old frame die from Spellbinders. Curtain is a stamp from LaBlanche.

Art journal page - It's all perspective

Hi and welcome back :0). Today it is again one page for my a 6.5"x 6.5" (ca. 16,5 x 16,5 cm) art journal.

I played with the blue shades of Distress inks and a new Kitsch flamingo pink colour. I was inspired by my new nice Stampendous background stamp and I wanted to create some "tree scene" with this gorgeous bird stamp from Tim Holtz. I colored my birds with PITT artist brush pens from my stash and I was surprised how well they blended on my mixed media cardstock even if it is porosu serface. My first idea was totally different, but I'm happy with the final outcome. Sometimes it happends, that the page has it's own mind and life :D

Art journal page - Dream

Hallo and welcome :0). Today I have new page for my a 6.5"x 6.5" (ca. 16,5 x 16,5 cm) art journal.

Last time I played with Distress ink sprays, negative and positive print with the stencil and some white pigment ink stamping on the background. Because I made two backgrounds at once, I used the second print today. I added some white pigment ink stamping on the background and I coloured my focal pictures - I really like this poinsettia flower from Tim Holtz - with Distress crayons and Distress markers and also with my alcohol markers. Because the colours of the hair and flowers were a bit muted with the crayons (I used them as watercolours), I brightened up them with a layer of Distress glaze.

Thank you for your visit and see you next time :0)

Hi again :0). This is another page for a 6.5"x 6.5" (ca. 16,5 x 16,5 cm) art journal.

I played with Distress ink sprays, negative and positive print with the stencil and some white pigment ink stamping on the background. Then I colored a huge poppy flower from IndigoBlu and this beautiful figure from Hero arts with Karin brush pro markers and added my quote - sometimes I wish I also had so much quiet time :0)

Art journal page - Magic

Hi and welcome :0). This is my new page for a 6.5"x 6.5" (ca. 16,5 x 16,5 cm) art journal.

I found this small, but awesome filigree die which reminded me an oriental window. So I created a page inspired by it. I started with my Distress oxide ink pads in blues and greens and used a moroccan trellis stencil with Versamark ink to achieved tone on tone "wallpaper" background. From another scrap of paper with Distress oxide inks in shades of violet on it, combined with a Tim Holtz gold kraft cardstock, I created my windows and circle. This gold cardstock was also used for the border and small gold details on the page. To brighten my violet parts up, I covered them with Distress Glaze, so it looks like I used Distress inks and not Distress oxide - the Glaze taken the pigment part of the Distress oxides away and only the bright dye part left.
My characters are from Hero Arts older stamp sets. I'm very happy how this page turned out :0)

Thank you for your visit and see you next time :0)
